How to Install the Nutshell Snippet on Your Website

Nutshell makes it easy to set up your Nutshell Snippet and link your CRM to your website so you can seamlessly track website visitor engagement and capture lead data.

To get started, navigate to **Marketing** in the main Nutshell menu, select **Setup**, and click **Tracking Snippet**.

Nutshell details 3 easy steps to help you install your snippet. Click **View snippet** in step 1 to grab your Nutshell snippet.

Here, you'll see the snippet of embed code you'll need to copy and add to your website to start using your snippet-driven Nutshell features. If you have a WordPress website, you can use our [WordPress plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/nutshell-analytics/) to streamline the process even further. If you'd like some help, click the **Get started** link in this dialog, and our team will get your Nutshell tracking snippet set up for you.

Once you've copied your Nutshell snippet, paste it into the <head> of every page of your website. After embedding the snippet, click the **Run test** button in step 3, enter your domain name, and run the test to confirm it’s working.

When successfully installed, you'll see a **Snippet detected** status badge at the top of the **Install the snippet** panel. Nutshell will then begin collecting data automatically.

You’ll also see all your associated features in Nutshell with an **Active** state below. You can click on any of these cards to go straight to that feature.
